About Me
My name is Luthfa Begum and I am an experienced specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor, dedicated to empowering children to meet their full potential.
I have over 13 years of expertise as a primary school teacher and SEND intervention lead in schools around East London.
During this time, I have spent working directly with students of all learning abilities, including those who have autism, down syndrome, physical, and sensory impairments. I have knowledge of various disabilities and requirements, which enables me to provide individualised and pupil-centred plans.
I currently work part-time as a private dyslexia tutor for primary and secondary students in addition to my job as an assessor and SENDCo.
As a teacher and a mother of two, I know that each child is unique. Using the same method for everyone doesn't work. That's why I teach in a way that fits each student and focuses on what they're good at. If your child doesn't understand something, I will find a different way to teach it. I provide all my students with a multisensory, structured, cumulative, and phonically-based programme.
I remain dedicated to staying well-informed in the field of dyslexia. As an Associate Member of the BDA (AMBDA), I undergo regular professional development evaluations conducted by the BDA every three years to ensure my knowledge and skills remain current. In addition, I have full DBS clearance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Face to Face Assessments take place at our offices in East London, or at your child's school.
I can travel to an individual's school to assess(a small additional fee applies).
